Mrs Vicenta Ong Canete passed away at 10:39 am on April 1, 2009, Mrs Canete is the loving wife of Grandmaster Dionisio Canete.

From time to time, please consult the "Articles" section of this website. There will be feartured interesting information regarding WEKAF, its activities and its members in the last 30-40 years. This information will help shed light on how the organization has evolved to what it is today and we hope that this will make your everyday dedication and love for this stick-fighting martial art more meaningful through your WEKAF membership.

WEKAF intends to promote a scholarship program the winners to be announced at the world tournament in Mexico. Preliminary information is that there will be three scholarship awards of $ 1500.00, $ 1,000.00 and $ 500.00. The financial award is to go to the winner's education fund. Details of the program are to follow.
